How to Support
The majority of archival materials in the collection were graciously donated by the mavericks themselves, or their surviving families. We are so grateful they have entrusted us to care for the archives and promote the legacy of American independent film, and their gifts of materials are available for use in the research and filmmaking communities.
As the collection has grown significantly over the last decade, so has the need for resources to maintain and preserve it. Our area of highest need is the Screen Arts Mavericks & Makers Collection Fund (330255) which provides unrestricted support for the archives and materials.
